Rotherhithe: The area around Rotherhithe and the docklands has a bad reputation amongst some Londoners. They see it as rundown docklands. But the area has been transformed in recent years as young professionals move into the renovated area.

From what I hear East London and the docks have become very desirable places to visit. Even when we were last in the UK (1990 I think)they were being transformed.
My main memory of dockland is taking our youngest son to the London Arena to see Pink Floyd in concert in the mid eighties. Now that was a venue ... and a concert!
