Yes, I killed my computer the other night.
The terror that went through me as I feared I had lost all my data and my connection to the world, let alone the thought of having to reinstall everything.
Let this be a lesson to all those wishing to attack things with a sledgehammer approach on their computer. Know what you are doing first!
I was playing with the system registry, which I had done before with no unfortunate consequences. However, this time I had got it wrong.
Thank goodness I was able to get in and back up my most valuable data before doing a reinstallation of Windows and most of the other software I have. I am still not quite there, but as you can see, I can email and explore the internet again.
Thanks to everyone for all the positive feedback in the form of emails we have received.
Now that the computer is back up there will be more posts soon.

Peter!!!!
Why am I not really surprised, though? What on earth did you do?
Btw, last time I knew, there was nothing really bothering the parents in taping everything for you. Pity about Penrith, though, with the football.
I'm glad to see that your place is fairly nice, and 'hip'. :p
Hope that the plant is going well, and I hope that those herbs do not die on you. I had all my little seeds that I set up at Easter die on me by the end of last term. Oh well. :) Wasn't too concerned. I'll just try growing a cactus instead. :)
Hope that Natalie is doing well at study. How is the workload going, Nat? I hope that you aren't bothering her one bit, Pete. :p
Okay. I'll go now. I wish that I hadn't had to set up to do this, but hey! You never know. I might have something on my page some time.
Nelle.
