Today is election day for Britain.
Natalie and I have been lucky enough to be registered as voters so if we choose to, we may vote.
Unlike in Australia voting here in Britain is not compulsary, and so the ruling Labour party, wary of the likely loss in support from swinging voters is urging all die-hard Labour supporters to get out and vote. Their slogan is "If you value it, vote for it" which seems to encourage those valuing unnessary death to by sending troops to die in an illegal war to get out there and vote. Of course, there are so many supporters of that kind of thing in the UK that Labour should win in a landslide... NOT!
Oh well, the other parties aren't much better. The (Don't call us Tories) Conservatives have been asking "Are you thinking what we're thinking?" Do I really want know what is in the mind of a politician??? I think not!
And the Liberal Democrats have been suggesting that they are "the REAL alternative". So does that suggest that they don't think they can win, just be the bridesmaid? I guess so. At least they're realistic.

Gee, Peter, I don't think you're cynical enough. :)
And it sounds as though the Conservatives (I think) are trying for a Bananas in Pyjamas approach.
Glad to hear that you've settled on dates to come out to Australia and go back again, and I'll be seeing you then.
